    Patch Notes

    Major Changes

    New Gamemode: Iron Lombax

    • Teams: 2
    • Colors: Red and Blue
    • Maximum Players: 16

The objective of Iron Lombax is to eliminate the opposing Iron Lombax before the enemy eliminates yours.

The Red and Blue teams are each given a Health Bar with 300 to 1200 HP, depending on lobby configuration. When a player dies, a certain amount of HP is depleted from the bar. The amount lost is also configured in the lobby.

When a player’s death empties their team’s Health Bar, that player then respawns as the Iron Lombax, gaining damage and critical hit resistance and the same amount of health as the Team Health was. They also receive a Weapon Pack full of fully-upgraded weapons. This makes the Iron Lombax a dangerous foe. However an Iron Lombax does not gain full health when picking up a health pack. The team health bar element in the HUD also changes to show the Iron Lombax’s current health.

Killing a player who is not the Iron Lombax while their Iron Lombax is active will inflict a configurable amount of “morale” damage on the Iron Lombax, however this damage cannot reduce the Iron Lombax below 20% of their maximum health.

When a team’s Iron Lombax is eliminated, be it by getting gunned down by an opposing player or falling off the map, the opposing team is declared the winner.

Iron Lombax is available in Exhibition and Red vs Blue Tournaments

    Updates

    • The Match Results trophy and medals are now animated, giving the small ceremony a little more flair
    • The Gamemode settings in the Tournament panel now synchronize with the settings under Exhibition. Changing settings in one location will change them in both. Additionally you only see settings for modes that are available in the current Tournament type
    • Updated the tutorial for Survival to reflect the new Difficulty settings

    Fixes

    • Fixed the Crit Boost particles for the Blitz Gun/Blitz Cannon being massively increased in size when in Third Person
    • Fixed the Vortex Cannon not playing its “suck” animation when Primary Fire is held
    • Fixed an issue where the white shield that indicates a player is invulnerable was not being displayed
    • Fixed an issue where the Barrier powerup was not properly applying to Clients and how the third person shield was not being displayed
    • Fixed being unable to view the tutorial for Capture the Flag

            • 50 -> 30
      • Upon upgrading, the B6-Obliterator becomes the B11-Vaporizer, dealing increased damage and gaining the ability to incinerate killed targets.
    • New Deployable: Decoy Glove
      • The Decoy Glove tosses out a fake player that can deceive other players and PvE enemies into attacking it.
      • In PvP:
        • Decoys always have 50 Health
        • The appearance of a decoy depends on the affiliation of the player throwing it out.
          • If you deployed it or are allied with the one who did, it appears as the obvious inflatable fake
          • If you are hostile to the one who deployed it, the decoy appears identical to the player who deployed it
        • Hostile decoys have various traits that further sell the illusion
          • They are armed with one of the other non-decoy weapons the owner has in their loadout
          • They will actively look at hostile players in their line of sight
          • They will generate a false positive on your radar
          • Upon being killed by weapon damage, the decoy generates a fake kill message, claiming the attacker just killed the owner of the decoy
          • The decoy will also drop an appropriate dead body when killed as well, ragdolling, gibbing, being decapitated, getting vaporized, being incinerated, or being turned to gold by a melee equipped with the Mastery skin
      • In PvE
        • Decoys have a Base Health of 100 that increases as the Glove upgrades
        • Additionally, Decoys will benefit from your Vitality stat and however many Health upgrades you have purchased
        • When a Decoy is out, it becomes the highest priority target for ALL enemies, including bosses.
          • A decoy being targeted by the Snagglebeast cannot trigger Visions
      • Upon being upgraded, the Decoy Glove becomes the Gold Decoy Glove. Upon being destroyed by an attack, the decoy unleashes a devastating blast
    • Dravlass Graveyard is now haunted by Dravlass, who spawns every 15 waves as the boss
      • Dravlass is a dangerous entity who floats around the island he spawns on rather than following his target.
        • If you get too close, he will kick you for heavy damage
        • Most of the time, he will throw a small fireball at you
          • As Difficulty increases, his accuracy with the fireball grows. On Insanity+ he will lead you perfectly
        • Sometimes Dravlass will generate pillars of flame beneath all valid targets currently in combat with him
          • As Difficulty increases, the delay before the flames trigger gets smaller. On Insanity+ you will really need to stay on your toes to not get roasted
        • Sometimes Dravlass will cast magic into the air and summon a rain of explosive meteors
          • Difficulty only affects the meteor damage, but they always have a wide blast radius
      • Additionally, Dravlass will set all islands except the one he spawns on ablaze, rendering them unsafe to be on.
    • New Christmas Map: Mall Mayhem
      • Available Gamemodes
        • Deathmatch
        • Collect-a-Thon
      • Get into the Christmas spirit by competing to deliver presents from the mall to Santa’s Workshop via the portal that periodically opens in place of the Christmas Tree. As it turns out however, shooting other people is a fast way to get on the naughty list. Thus the workshop rejects your presence and damages you as long as you’re in it.

    Additions

    • New Icons for Map and Survival Difficulties
    • Maps are now grouped across many categories based on available gamemodes. Furthermore, maps part of an active seasonal event will be at the top.
